The Story
In today’s economy there is a social concern that has swept many communities across America involving the concern of job loss. We quickly realized that the spirit of entrepreneurship needed to be revamped in revolutionized. In the summer of 2009, we launched an innovative service to provide an alternative to how businesses are conducted and homeowner services are managed. With BidWilly, we have developed a social marketplace of entrepreneurs inspired by the determination to drive social entrepreneurship from a grassroots level and to assist communities throughout the United States. BidWilly serves as a contract brokerage tool that will help bridge the unemployment gap across our nation’s service industry and increase consumer savings. Many will notice, I feel my life has an extraordinary purpose. That purpose is to enhance the lives of others, build a better community, and inspire rising entrepreneurs to achieve their dreams of success.
Once just an idea, the vision of BidWilly took eight years of hard work, dedication, networking, and strategically developing an innovative technical solution to better connect entrepreneurs with consumers. This new approach has proven to grow our economy by encouraging consumer spending. Some users would like to coin our idea as an “Ebay for services”, but this time it’s the entrepreneurs bidding to do the work of consumers. Instead of prices being driven up, prices are now being driven by a quality service and cost savings model.
Solomon Williams has stated that for the record, he is adamant that our economy is driven by small businesses. This statement is not only spoken by economists, but also one that our Government endorses. In order for entrepreneurs to have a fair chance at competing for jobs based on service quality and pricing. Many have long awaited a system that competes with a business model driven by advertising dollars of large corporate enterprises.
As an alternative, BidWilly has created an efficient model that changes the rules. It’s no longer about who has the capital to place themselves in the faces of consumers, but instead it’s about who has established a great reputation with their customers through trust and user ratings. We have provided users with the ability to apply the social aspects of the web to connect potential consumers with current customers of a service provider (friending as demonstrated with Facebook). And even more, BidWilly features a way for businesses to openly compete with other businesses by allowing them to view the bid responses of others competitors bidding. These features alone create a level playing field for everyone to have a chance at winning new business.
Finally, after careful planning and alpha testing there is now a system that allows small businesses, contractors and entrepreneurs to reach people that are looking for services, while driving real competition based on competitive pricing and quality of services delivered. In the midst of developing this momentous idea, we realized that BidWilly would spark job growth in our local communities. We have discovered a viable solution to help create more job growth within the service industry by our innovative approach to driving competition and customer delight.
